Education Enrichment

At Trinity Academy, education enrichment is a cornerstone of our approach, complementing our knowledge-rich curriculum. We believe that a robust programme is essential for raising students' aspirations and equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to achieve excellence, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Our programme begins with the transition to Year 7 and continues through to the end of the Sixth Form. It is built on four key pillars:

  • Connecting students to the world of work, future education, training, and employment
  • Enriching the curriculum
  • Providing exposure to culture, the arts, and sports
  • Building character, integrity, resilience, and judgement

Our education enrichment programme is designed to help our young people develop into well-rounded, thoughtful, and healthy citizens, ready to handle life's challenges. We offer a variety of opportunities, including extracurricular and cultural activities, as well as talks and workshops on mental and physical health, safety, and global awareness.

Sport

In previous years we have had numerous sports teams competing against other schools including boys’ football, girls’ football, basketball, netball, and indoor athletics. We also compete in the inter-Trust championships. Below are few of the many sports students enjoy:

  • basketball
  • boxing
  • football
  • netball
  • trampolining

 The Arts

The Art club runs after school, and it will continue next year. There is a virtual art gallery displaying their work. Some of the best work was entered in the Royal Academy Junior Summer Exhibition.

We were delighted to host the National Theatre's production of Jekyll and Hyde in the summer term.

Music clubs currently running include:

  • guitar club
  • band rehearsal
  • composition club

Trips

At Trinity Academy we really do take advantage of being in London by arranging trips to complement the curriculum. We regularly visit theatres to see live production. Previous visits have included trips to the Vic Theatre to watch A Christmas Carol and the whole of Year 11 went to a workshop and theatre production of “Hitler on Trial”. GCSE Art pupils went to the Tate Britain, PE pupils went to watch the World Para Swimming Championships at the Olympic Park and there was a Science trip to the London Aquarium. Outside London, we had our Geography field trip in Kent and the History department run trip to the battlefields in Belgium.
